Shinjini Mehta

 
 

Shinjini Mehta is a sustainable infrastructure professional with over a decade’s experience in international development working for DFIs and international NGOs. Her work in infrastructure financing spans over 14 countries in Asia, Pacific and Africa and has benefited over a million people. In her previous role at the Asian Development Bank, where she was engaged for over 8 years, she was responsible for sustainable infrastructure investing in South Asia and the Pacific regions through an environmental, gender and climate conscious lens. Her work with utilities in emerging markets has focused on climate adaptation and mitigation enhancing the climate resilience of both capital investments and operations. She has structured complex P3 contracts with environmental, social and sustainability contractual clauses and her work through attached technical assistance has helped to enhance the business-enabling environment and gender outcomes of these projects.  

Shinjini is passionate about sustainable impact investing in decarbonization, energy transition, ocean health, pollution abatement and women’s financial inclusion. Currently working as an independent consultant, she wants to take her passion for sustainable impact investing to the next level by working on initiatives supporting the NetZero transition.   

Shinjini graduated with distinction from the Master of Science program in Urban Development Planning at the University College London and holds a Bachelors in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in Delhi. She is trained in using nature-based solutions to improve urban water resources management and is passionate about impact initiatives in marine conservation.
