Launched in January 2016, Convergence is an institution that connects, educates, and supports investors to execute blended finance transactions that increase private sector investment in emerging markets. Convergence enables more investment in these markets by leveraging public and philanthropic funding to unlock billions of private sector dollars for global development – which can lead to as much as a 10x increase in overall investment. By allowing investors to quickly search databases for credible deals or investors that match their investment needs, Convergence broadens investors’ networks and simplifies their screening process.
